How would you like to relax in the celebrity garden of one of England’s finest and most charismatic ever rugby players? Well, thanks to accommodation rental specialists at Airbnb, you can now stay in the home of former England rugby captain Lewis Moody MBE. You’ll also be helping to raise funds for a good cause too, as all of the rental proceeds are being donated by Lewis to The Brain Tumour Charity. The only downside to renting this property is that there are no BBQ parties allowed – unless England win the Rugby World Cup!
Situated in the beautiful market town of Bradford-on-Avon, just five miles away from Bath Rugby’s official stadium, Moody’s stylish family home features four bedrooms and a large back garden equipped with decking, garden furniture and, as you can see in the photo below, it’s very own miniature rugby post for you to practice on.
“Like any rugby family we’re incredibly excited at the prospect of welcoming fans from around the world to play on our home turf and we are very lucky that our home is within such easy distance to many of the tournaments venues,” says Lewis Moody. “It’s going to be an amazing experience for competitors and spectators alike and I’m keen to share it with as many people as possible – and what better way than to open up my own home?”
Plenty of rugby balls for kicking practice are included in the rental price of £150 per night. However, please note that any chanting of the Haka will not be tolerated in this English garden.
The tongue-in-cheek House Rules also state that compulsory singing of ‘God Save The Queen’ takes place at 8am every morning.
The conservatory backs out on to the garden, with a six-seat dining table set on the decking in-between, which is perfect for relaxing in the evening.
The patio sports a pair of rattan sun loungers and a bright blue picnic table made of wood.
From inside the conservatory we can spot the rattan dining set situated on the decking area outside.
Here’s a shot of the front garden and three-storey Victorian house in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire.
The Moody boys at play in the garden. Lewis states he’d even be game to give his Airbnb house guests a few useful rugby pointers.
