Searching for inspiration to give your garden or patio a boost of relaxation and romance with an Oriental twist? Then let us show you how to steal the look of this award-winning boutique hotel courtyard, located at the centre of China’s bustling capital city.
Red Wall Garden Hotel
As one of the top places to stay in Beijing, the Red Wall Garden Hotel features a picturesque courtyard that provides the ideal outdoor space for couples and families to relax in. Sporting comfortable and stylish rattan patio furniture, the hotel’s Courtyard Bistro serves up some delightful dishes from across the whole of China – such as shrimp cakes in a honey bean sauce and Guangdong-style pork ribs.
Red Wall Garden is a boutique hotel located in the city centre’s tree-lined Shijia Hutong lane, near the Wanfujing shopping area and close to popular Beijing attractions.

The courtyard bistro offers visitors to Beijing a welcome outdoor space of peace and quiet. But there’s always time for some charming bird song as you take tea, sitting on the hotel’s lovely rattan garden furniture.

The courtyard bistro’s tea house opened earlier this year, allowing guests to taste the finest freshly brewed local Chinese teas. From May to October, a variety of traditional Chinese entertainment is also showcased at the bistro – including shadow play, Peking opera and folk music.
There’s even an indoors conservatory-style area with plants and a different type of rattan bistro set, perfect for lounging and relaxing if the weather outside is too cold or wet. Here you can still enjoy the sunshine, order a snack and happily chat away with your travelling companion.
TripAdvisor ranks the Red Wall Garden as one of the Top 25 hotels for romance in China. Ambient lighting, live music, comfy rattan bistro sets and the delicious smells of freshly cooked Chinese delicacies certainly add to the romantic appeal of alfresco dining for two at this hotel.
